When Will the General Public Be Able to Get a Vaccine?

So, I do have some bad news on this front.
Dr. Anthony Fauci just said that vaccines won't be available to the "general" public before mid-to-late May or early June. Previously, he had stated that previous estimates had said vaccines would be available to nonessential workers under 65 with no health conditions (general public) closer to the end of April.
He thought this earlier mainly due to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine product, which now has considerably less doses than they were originally predicting. (J&J will have fewer than 10 million vaccine doses available if the US Food and Drug Administration authorizes it for emergency use.)
Now, in May and June, vaccines are going to be widely available to everyone. However, it may take to June, July, and August to finally get everyone vaccinated. Fauci thinks that it's going to be well to the end of the summer to early fall before this is completed.
However, there is some good news: California just reported its lowest daily case increase since early November, so yay!
We have to celebrate the wins, otherwise we will get stuck in the losses, and we don't need that.
Lastly, don't feel too discouraged about this vaccine timeline getting pushed back and focus more on the fact that we at least have a vaccine. Try your best to get everyone around you excited and ready to get their vaccine when it's time for them as well.
