When Will Kids Be Vaccinated?

My brother just misses the 16+ mark needed to receive the vaccine. Lucky for him, Dr. Fauci has just announced that the US is likely to start vaccinating those under 16 by the late spring or the early summer.

Studies are currently underway to test the safety and effectiveness of Pfizer's and Moderna's vaccines in children. The timeline is shaping up to be around late spring or summer that we will have enough information about these trials to begin vaccinations on younger citizens.

And that's it! Short news, but nonetheless rather hopeful news. I can't wait to tell my brother what I learned, although knowing him, he probably already read all about it.

Have a great Friday everyone, and keep hanging in there!

Oh, and one last thing, with the new COVID-19 variants now being widely circulated in the US, it is of increasing importance to layer your masks. This means having a surgical mask on under a cotton one, or an N-95 under a cotton one. Whatever works for you; just make sure you're doubling up because it will decrease your chance of getting the more contagious variants!
