Some Good News (at least for me)

As I'm sure many of you know, California is not doing too hot. The problem is, we actually are too hot. We are the first state to hit 600,000 coronavirus cases, we just had a swarm of earthquakes that sparked worry about the San Andreas fault, we just had our first confirmed plague case in 5 years (in South Lake Tahoe), our heat wave just set a global temperature record, we just faced the largest power outage in California's history this week among the record heatwave (so perfect timing), we were hit by 10,000 lightning strikes in 72 hours, there are hundreds of wildfires raging all over California, and these wildfires have burned hundreds of thousands of acres. But I digress.

Some good news for me, a radical leftist (as Trump has named anyone who supports Biden), is that Joe Biden officially accepted the presidential nomination last night. And, his speech was so well spoken that even Fox News reporter Chris Wallace had to admit that it blew "a big hole" in Trump's "mentally shot" claim. I personally still think that we are looking at the wrong candidate for being mentally shot, but I again digress.

As Michelle and Barack both stressed, this election is crucial to secure the future of America. We must vote for Joe like our lives depend on it, because they do. A vote for Biden is not only a vote for him and Kamala, but a vote for the replacement of RBG, a vote for affordable healthcare, and a vote for women's and POC's and immigrant's and LGBTQ+ rights. A vote for your life; a vote for a president that doesn't believe 1000 deaths a day "is what it is."A vote for democracy. A vote for the soul of our nation. Please, vote.
