Senate's Vote-A-Rama

The Senate passes a budget resolution to fast-track COVID-19 relief after vote-a-rama, a skillfully and wonderfully titled series of amendment votes (around 40) on a myriad of issues.

This budget resolution kicks off the special reconciliation process that Democrats are using to pass a new round of coronavirus relief. The resolution passed in a 51-50 party-line vote, with VP Harris coming in for the win by casting one of her first two tie-breaking votes to help Democrats approve the measure.

The version of this resolution that was passed will now go back to the House, where a quick vote is expected to be taken.

This news comes as President Joe Biden and Democratic leaders all push for an effort to pass more aid without any Republican support, still supporting a $1.9 trillion relief package, which includes $1400 checks.

Let's hope that the House turns out for the Democrats too.

Have an amazing Friday! Go out into nature and be active or something. Or stay in bed and watch Netflix... really just do whatever floats your boat.
