Reminder to Vote :)

For the next few days (until Election Day), I will be using my blog to encourage people to vote and to get them the resources they need to vote effectively and safely. I am well versed in this because I have texted hundreds of voters this information

Early voting is going on right now. If you need any more information about the other Democrats running for office or volunteer options in a specific state, search up your state's name plus democratic party to find their website. For example, for California, the website is https://cadem.org/.

(Same goes for Republicans.)

Make a voting plan. I cannot stress this enough. Make a voting plan.

Are you going to fill out a mail in ballot and drop it off in a polling place? If so, find out which polling place is closest to you. And please remember, it is too late now to mail in your ballot; mailing it in right now does not guarantee that your vote will be counted. So either vote in person early, in person on Election Day, or do what my dad did and drive frantically (but safely) to the Veteran's Center with your mail in ballot just to make sure nothing funny will happen.

Here are some resources that will help you make a voting plan and find out further information about your registration:

This website literally has everything. It can help you change or check your registration, and it will show you where your nearest polling place is to you.

If you have further questions that you feel will not be answered by this site, please use the DNC's Voter Hotline: 1-833-336-8683.

We have volunteers ready at any time to take your call, and they can help out with basically anything.

Also, if you have ANY issues with voter protection; for example, "I showed up at my polling place early but they shut it down before I was able to cast my ballot," call the hotline and they will report that for you. We have just rolled out a new voter protection program called LBJ, or Lawyers Bound for Justice, that will check up on any Voter Protection struggles and get back to you.

Please vote. I am not able to vote in this election, unfortunately, but I have already pre-registered for the next one. And trust me, it's really not that difficult. It took me 15 minutes at the most, and now I'm a registered voter! For those living in California, here is the link to register: https://registertovote.ca.gov/

For those living in other states (and those in California, if you don't want to use the link above), you can also use iwillvote.com to register!

This election is important, and I want to make sure that all of your voices are heard. And.. since I gave you the resources, I hope that you will take advantage of how easy I have made this for you and go vote!
