Hope Hicks, a White House aide to President Trump, has tested positive for the coronavirus. The reports from The New York Times, CNN, and Bloomberg said that Hicks traveled with Trump aboard Air Force One to and from the presidential debate on Tuesday. She is one of the closest advisors to Trump thus far that has come down with the virus. Hicks had told people close to her previously that she was exhibiting symptoms.
Hicks was not wearing a mask on Tuesday when she rode in a staff van with White House advisor Stephen Miller, Trump campaign advisor Jason Miller, and others. She went on to share an umbrella with Miller later that day. Hicks also traveled with Trump to Cleveland and also attended a Trump rally in Minnesota on Wednesday.
And that's about all we know thus far.
Many on Trump's campaign team have tested positive for the coronavirus, showing that his administration should perhaps be more cautious with social distancing guidelines and safety procedures. We can only hope that they take this new news with the idea that things need to change and become more serious.
Have a good Friday tomorrow and a good weekend! We're almost there!
