California's Heat Wave

If you live in California, you most likely know that it's hot here. Like really hot. Yesterday, Santa Rosa had a high of 109 degrees. It is currently 108 degrees as I am typing this. Unfortunately, the hot weather and our three day weekend is causing many people in California to flock to the beaches.
Parking lots close to beaches in San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles counties were filled to capacity and then closed, and lifeguards have reported seeing a very high number of beach-goers. Health authorities warned that beaches could become closed if they get too crowded.
I just really really hope that these large beach gatherings do not cause another COVID-19 spike. I just really want to be able to take my ACT without it getting canceled.
We have received news that our power is going to be shut off due to the heat. Again. It is a necessary problem, though, because I would rather not have power than have another fire in Santa Rosa.
Don't we all just love the beginning of fall? I know I do.
